1869: A Year in Quilting (Feb. 2023–Dec. 2023)

Co-curated at The History Center in Tompkins County with Cindy Kjellander-Cantu, this display in the “Timeline Tunnel” featured excerpts from the 1869 diary of 13-year-old Carrie Manning, an Ithaca native and avid quilter. This was part of a larger exhibit on quilting and fiber arts titled “Knot Sew Fast: Patchwork of Tompkins County.”
